Air Fryer Buffalo Wings

I’ve always been a sucker for buffalo wings but they’re not always fun to eat out. They’re messy, spicy, and can be super expensive! For a long time, I didn’t know that you could buy fresh drumettes & wingettes at the grocery store, but when I saw them on sale one day it opened up a whole new world for me. These are just so easy and if I do say so myself, delicious!

Serves:  2 +/- –  Cooktime: 30 minutes +/-

INGREDIENTS:

Wings:

  • 2 lbs Chicken Drummettes/Wingettes
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 2 Teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Gallon Size Resealable Bag
  • Avocado Oil

Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1 Cup Buffalo Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Pinch Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper

DIRECTIONS:

1.) Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for three minutes. Add wings to the resealable bag along with cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Shake well to coat wings evenly.

2.) Once preheated, spray basket lightly with avocado oil to prevent wings from sticking. Place the wings in an even layer without overlapping to ensure an even cook. Spray with oil and cook for 12 minutes. Once done, flip, spray again with oil, and cook for an additional 12 minutes (24 minutes total cook time).

3.) To make the sauce for the wings place a small frypan on medium heat and add buffalo, butter, honey, kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until combined and sauce is bubbling. Set aside until wings are done.

4.) Add wings to a large bowl. Pour sauce and toss wings to fully coat. Dip in ranch or blue cheese and enjoy!
