I’m always interested in trying new recipes and when I saw these wonton wrappers at the grocery store, I was inspired to try Crab Rangoon’s. These are my favorite item to order at a Chinese restaurant, and now I’m pleased to say I can eat them without leaving the comfort of my own home! Give them a try and let me know if you enjoyed them as much as I did!
Serves: 12 Rangoon’s Cooktime: 30 minutes +/-
INGREDIENTS:
Poppers:
- 12 Wonton Wrappers
- 3-oz. Cream Cheese, Softened (at room temperature)
- 1-oz. Crab Meat, Minced
- 1.5 tbsp. Green Onion, Sliced Thin
- 1/8 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1/8 tsp. Salt
- 1/8 tsp. Black Pepper
- Avocado Oil Spray
- Thai Chili Sauce, For Dipping
DIRECTIONS:
1.) Soften cream cheese, (this can be done by slightly nuking in the microwave), slice green onions, and mince crab meat. Add cream cheese, 1 tablespoon green onion and minced crab meat to small bowl along with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix together well.
2.) Lay out 12 wonton wrappers and scoop 1/2 tablespoon of filling into the center of each wrapper. Be careful not to add more than 1/2 tablespoon as the wonton will explode when cooking in the air fryer. Paint the sides of the wonton wrapper with water to act as a glue.
3.) Preheat air fryer to 360°F for 3 minutes. Fold opposite corners of the wonton to reach each other and seal sides together. Repeat with the two remaining corners. Make sure to pinch the wrappers together tightly to create a good seal!
4.) Spray tray of air fryer with avocado spray and add rangoons to fryer. Make sure not to overlap. I was able to fit 8 rangoons in a 5-QT air fryer. Cook for 7 minutes, or until tops are crispy.
5.) Garnish with rest of green onions and Thai chili sauce. Serve and enjoy!
